Just and just as lovely (part 2)
I woke up one morning (when I wrote part one of this title) and I came to my chair and sat down like I usually do.
I sat for a moment and the lyrics of the song "Just and Just As" came into my mind.
You know when a song comes into your head and you weren't even listening to it in awhile.
I never thought about the lyrics in the way I did that morning.
It seemed like God was speaking to me with these lyrics which He has done before.
And I looked up the meaning of the lyrics to this song (online) and someone else had written in their blog about how the song was God speaking to His children.
Just how it was for me.
Especially the line about being alone with Him.
It was so moving and grippped me that I was still for 30 minutes or more pondering it all.
God is good.
Morning is so good because of stillness, and newness and quietness.
In my dream last night I was with several family members and we found a bedroom with many beds.
We decided to rest awhile and the people I was with layed down on the beds and I looked around and their weren't any beds left.
I saw a very small couch, like a love seat and I tried to lay down but my body didn't fit so I was partially on it and couldn't rest like the others.
The verse
“And Jesus said to him, “The foxes have holes and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.”” Luke 9:58 NASB1995
Just another reminder this world is not my home.
And these verses-“So there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God. Therefore let us be diligent to enter that rest, so that no one will fall, through following the same example of disobedience.” Hebrews 4:9, 11 NASB1995
At the end of the song, the lyrics are , "So we labor on.
This speaks to His children.
Grateful for His encouragement.
For His reminders and Faithfulness to help us.
“For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers.” 1 Timothy 4:10 NASB1995
