“In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.” ‭‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭4‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

Moreover He said, I am the God of thy father,
the God of Abraham,
the God of Isaac,
and the God of Jacob.
And Moses hid his face;
for he was afraid to look upon God- EXODUS 3:6

Many Christians have learned to live following the Lord from afar.
As we get older, we have learned to live in the twilight and shadows, and not mind it so much.
We have learned to live in the chill, and not mind it.
Have you any tears for your unlikeness to Jesus?
Have you any tears for that distance between you and God that in reality is no distance at all, and yet you feel it is there?
You are grateful and thankful for every blessed thing, and for goodness, justification and the good grace of God in your life.
God has been so gracious.
Yet, you cannot escape the sense that God seems far from you.
You know He is not, but you feel He is.
Maybe you have allowed self-indulgence, a vengeful spirit, a lukewarm attitude or worldliness to put a cloud over the face of God.
What are you going to do about it?
When you deal with the cloud, the sun will shine as bright as ever.
Nothing can take the place of basking in the manifest presence of God.
Oh, to gaze upon His face in adoring wonder and worship!

Face to face-oh blissful moment!
Face to face-to see and know;
Face to face with my Redeemer, Jesus Christ who loves me so
CARRIE E. BRECK (1855-1934)

I long, O God, to gaze upon Thy face.
I long to see Thee as Thou desireth me to see Thee,
without all of the hindrances of sin and rebellion.
I can do that only through Jesus Christ my Savior.
In His name I pray.
Amen.
