A Heart that cared

There was a song I listened to as a young girl.
In my dad's record collection he had a few albums by the artist Jane Olivor.
My dad had a few female artists he listened to alot and she was one of them.
Jane was not a super well-known artist and still isn't to many, but her voice is one from my youth that made a mark on me.
Her songs are very sentimental to me.
The song I listened to that stood out to me was made popular by the Carpenters called Solitare.
The first 2 lines of the song pierced me.
"There was a man
A lonely man"
Right away I connected.
Then skip a few lines and the words, "a heart that cared" stood out to me too.
We NEED hearts that care the way God cares.
Only He truly cares as is evident by sending His only Son, the MOST compassionate One, Who is Compassion.
“The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions NEVER fail.” ‭‭Lamentations‬ ‭3‬:‭22‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬
We need His heart for others.
So many "lonely" out there who need the Love of Jesus.
To intercede for them.
To do as the Spirit of God leads.
The last 2 days of Upmost for His Highest have encouraged me in different ways to do with interceding for others.
"Is Jesus Christ seeing of the travail of His soul in us? He cannot unless we are so identified with Himself that we are roused up to get His view about the people for whom we pray. May we learn to intercede so whole-heartedly that Jesus Christ will be abundantly satisfied with us as intercessors."
This I desire, “and may the Lord cause you to increase and abound in love for one another, and for all people, just as we also do for you;” ‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭3‬:‭12‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬
Amen Lord, may it be so.

May grace and peace be yours in the fullest measure.
