Love sees and does
“When Jesus then saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing nearby, He *said to His mother, “Woman, behold, your son!”
Then He *said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” From that hour the disciple took her into his own household.” John 19:26-27 NASB1995
I love this passage.
Two people whom Jesus loved were seen and known by the King of Kings.
What their faces must have been expressing as they looked upon their Savior and friend(John)& son(Mary).
Jesus knew how it would be, how the Father willed it and it happened.
It was John He chose for Mary.
He sees us today.
In our grief or pain He gives to us people who comfort and encourage.
He gives to us.
He gave for us.
I believe God gives to us people in our lives to be an encouragement or to be a brother or mother, etc.
I can list many people He gave to me at certain times of my life, very important times when I needed what I needed.
He does that for us for His purpose and plans.
May I (we) give as You give/gave Lord.
