God with us/ Resurrection Sunday
Yesterday morning I was at the studio for a class and I met two women there who were new to the class.
Another friend of mine was there as well and we were introducing ourselves.
I said that my name is Julie or Jules, and told them my mom and close friends call me the latter.
They both smiled big and told me how much they loved that name and said it a few times.
I smiled back agreeing but only I understood the true value of the name because of my relationship with my mom.
How many times she has called me her Jule I couldn't say.
So when I hear someone else say it, I remember the love that is behind the name.
One of my favorite scriptures is found in John 20-“Jesus *said to her, “Mary!” She turned and *said to Him in Hebrew, “Rabboni!” (which means, Teacher).” John 20:16
Jesus simply says her name, and she replies with His.
I can see it so well!
Why a favorite? It shouldn't surprise you if you know me.
HE said her name, The One and Only, The Savior of the world, The One who is Love, The One who sees, The Beginning and the End.
The One who rescued Mary and loves her more than anyone else could.
The One who had just risen from the dead and gave us Life abundant and everlasting.
Kindness and Mercy and Gentleness said her name.
And only Mary saw Him and was with Him in such beautiful intimacy the whole world and thoughts left her at this moment and wouldn't last but the intimate relationship would.
Life with Jesus, the forever relationship that has no end.
Jesus and Jules, amen.
Thank You Jesus, You set me free.
Christ, my Savior Life with Thee.
