You adore is my reward
There are so many people to think of and pray for.
It can be overwhelming to me.
I can only do so much and it’s easy for me to take on people's burdens.
When I look around me, I can pray as the Holy Spirit leads and they don’t have to be long prayers.
There are certain people that God knew or planned to be in my life,
that I have or He has taken notice of long before I was even born.
And I feel at times this heaviness in my Spirit for them.
I believe the word is compassion or empathy or both.
Maybe you are that way too.
I know the Lord Jesus is.
“But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.” Matthew 9:36 NKJV
I had a dream this morning
I was with my grandson I think.
We were in a room with a table and chairs.
I looked over and saw a small infant standing under the table (I thought he belonged to my sister-in-law).
He was playing with what looked like a super small toothpaste tube that was on the seat of one of the chairs.
He was about to eat some plastic from the tube.
I took it away and saw he needed care/attending to.
I noticed he was like a preemie.
He seemed taken with me so he nestled on my left shoulder and was very warm.
My hand over him to keep him safe and close.
He was like having a small kitten on my chest.
I started walking with others and I was thirsty and we stopped at a stand selling drinks.
There was only soda and I knew that would not be satisfying to drink so I didn’t get one.
Everyone else did except me.
People were looking at me holding this tiny helpless infant and snickering(mostly men).
I woke up and thought about all aborted babies.
This verse came into my mind as well
““Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her!
How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling.” Matthew 23:37 NASB1995
Oh to have the heart of our Father!
My aerial teacher on Saturday was joking with me(as she often does) about my full attention on her and that I was being an excellent student.
What she didn't realize is that that is exactly what the Holy Spirit had been speaking to me for a few months about was that very natural example.
In my Barre bounce class He(HS)kept telling me to "get in a position where you can see the instructor and focus only on her and watch what she does, which foot she puts down first, which form is she using and does mine match with hers.
Don't look at the other people in the room, look only at your instructor and do what she says."
Step by step.
The steps of a man are established by the Lord, And He delights in his way.
When he falls, he will not be hurled headlong,
Because the Lord is the One who holds his hand.”
Psalms 37:23-24 NASB1995
“Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life.” John 6:68 NASB1995
“A pupil is not above his teacher; but everyone, after he has been fully trained, will be like his teacher.” Luke 6:40 NASB1995
“Behold, God is exalted in His power; Who is a teacher like Him?” Job 36:22 NASB1995
“You call Me Teacher and Lord; and you are right, for so I am.” John 13:13 NASB1995
“Then a scribe came and said to Him, “Teacher, I will follow You wherever You go.”” Matthew 8:19 NASB1995.
There are many distractions and purposes of our enemy to get us from having our eyes fixed on Him.
“I will meditate on Your precepts And regard Your ways.” “I shall delight in Your statutes; I shall not forget Your word.” Psalms 119:15/16 NASB1995
These are the words Lord, to pour forth from my heart.
