As I was listening in the car to one of my favorite songs (Come to Me by Bethel Music), I got this vision in my head about Moses. I have it every time I listen.
The line, "I am your anchor, in the wind and the waves. I am your steadfast, so don't be afraid."
I see Moses standing before the sea, his hand stretched out, and the Power of the Holy living God before him.
I could see it in these lyrics, so powerful and wondrous. My eyes were filled with tears as I pictured it, so powerful our God is, so mighty and wonderful.
And I thought about Moses as a faithful servant, and I wept. I thought about our beloved Peter and Paul and their faithfulness and love for Jesus. And I prayed for the same faithfulness.
I thought about Elisha and this verse...
1 Kings 19:11- So He said, “Go forth and stand on the mountain before the LORD.” And behold, the LORD was passing by! And a great and strong wind was rending the mountains and breaking in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind. And after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. 12After the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire a sound of a gentle blowing. 13When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. And behold, a voice came to him and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”
This is our God, who is gentle and patient too>
Powerful, full of mercy, our mighty King and song, who fills us up with everything we need.
The One and Only, who covers the mountains with colorful flowers and shades of green that our eyes are captivated, we take pictures and we feel peace there, His peace.
Who puts a firework display of colors in the sky that we can't help but be drawn to because He is the one! Only God can create such beauty.
Oh Father, may our eyes be so open to all that You want to show us. To be so willing and to truly hear You and do the thing You say.
For You are so wonderful, and I love You Faithful Father,
You are, You are the Great I Am. Thank You.
