My cat Squishy's bday is in 4 days, he will turn 12.
There is a line in the movie Moonstruck when the mom asks her daughter (Loretta) if she loves the man she is going to marry, she replies, "Ma, I love him awful." The mom had said to her earlier, "When you love them, they drive you crazy because they know they can."
Bottom line= My cat is spoiled and he can drive me crazy but in a very "You are so cute and lovable, I will look beyond the crazy for a moment, alright I'll overlook it, you have me bewitched by your beyond adorableness Squishy-like manner."
Slight exaggeration- only slight.
I realize I could be put in the category of "The crazy cat lover".
But, if you knew Squishy and his growing reputation with strangers and friends who love him too, you would get it.
Let me count his Squishy ways, or let yourself be rubbed the right way by the right cat.
I do believe there is a right and wrong sort. The wrongs sometimes have no reason to be, that you can tell. They started kitten hood in the right hood, but were wired or destined for the "rotten egg" and will stink and stench their way into some ladies heart who is codependent or just sees all creatures as lovable.
Maybe with the right owner, the wrong can be made right or tamed.
Have I lost you?
It's about the dudley cats vs. the bona fide companion.
Squishy is formable, like play-doh or clay.
He is adoredcherishedtreasuredvalued.
He likes to lick my forehead for some strange reason.
He used to be a hunter, now he stays indoors but meanders on the porch and loves to lay in the sun.
He makes me laugh and smile, as pets go.......... He is the shiniest.
I love to watch his squishy belly sway back and forth as he runs.
How he sits in a chair at the dinner table at dinner time.
How he kneads on my belly with his precious paws as he purrs with eyes closed/open.
I love how he looks at me with sometimes cylon ("By your command") eyes.
How he loves to be near me.
How he looks at the camera and cooperates, possibly loves having his photo taken.
In short, "Ma, I love him awful."
