Are Thanksgiving and Christmas a separate Holiday? Just wondering.
Anyway..... Yeah.
I'm thankful for my Turkey carcass to make soup with. Very thankful we didn't eat tofurky. Of course the food is always good and after many trips to the grocery and dishes washed and licked, we all sit down to bounty. It's an explosion of pleasure, conversation and laughter and love. The talk of cancer comes up, car accidents where death was a close reality. A conversation with a 94 year old about the pecan pie a restaurant in New England used to serve in small slices, but just enough, and the look of bliss from him and happiness from me as he takes a bite of my Pecan Pie and declares " Now this is good!"
It was a good Thanksgiving.
