It's been an emotional weekend. I got an email from my stepmother. She explained that my dad's abdominal aorta is extremely enlarged. He was paralyzed from the waist down.
He will have surgery in April to remove the enlarged portion of the aorta. My dad has had a similar surgery performed about 15 years ago? He didn't tell anyone of us about that procedure and obviously wasn't wanting to share this one. Thank God for his wife, who decided to tell us for him. My dad is 80. He was given a year to live if he did not have the procedure done. And if she had not told us, and he died........I would have been mad at him. He has pride for this, my sister and I will be at his side before and after surgery whether he likes it or not. Whether he knows it or not, it will be good for him. And if something happens, I was there. Praying for complete transformation and a changed heart in my dad through this. That he will embrace the love given him and that his heart and mind be in love with his Savior.
