Intercessory Prayer of a Fellowman
Even though Daniel had walked faithfully with God in Babylon, he still counted himself among the transgressors of Israel. Daniel interceded for the masses as one sharing blame for their sins. He did not put himself above the people. Daniel knelt before God on the level ground of man's innate waywardness. "We have sinned..... We have been wicked.... We have not listened.... We are covered in shame."
God honored the attitudes of intercessors such as Abraham, Moses, Ezra, and Nehemiah who saw themselves as the fellowmen of great transgressors and cried out for mercy along with the ones right beside them.
